Packers -1400 (ML), -14 points (spread), 43 O/U
The Saints have no playoff hopes left. The Packers have no division title hopes left. The Saints have to trade sunny New Orleans for snowy Green Bay. But … the schedule says “Saints at Packers” tonight, so it must be played. And hey, maybe it’s an early betting holiday gift for you!
The Packers can tack on their 11th win of the season — and clinch a playoff spot — against the moribund Saints (5-9) starting at 8:15 p.m. ET. Green Bay can’t win the NFC North, but they can maintain their hold on the fifth seed for the playoffs and keep ahead of the Commanders.
QB Jordan Love has stopped handed out interceptions like candy, and the Packers (10-4) have surged because of it. In his past four games, Love has seven TD passes and zero INTs. His TD-INT ratio prior to that was 16-11.
On the other side, Derek Carr (hand) and Alvin Kamara (groin) will be out for the Saints, who would be do well to not try to hard to win this game. They’re currently 10th in the 2025 NFL draft order, but they can improve on that before the season ends. Yes, their season has come to that.
This game could be over by the end of the first quarter. The Packers figure to ride RB Josh Jacobs, and why not? JJ has rushed for 688 yards in the first half, the most in the league, and ranks third overall with 1,147 yards.
GB rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper also has helped wreck opposition offenses. He’s been named Defensive Player of the Week twice.
Go with Packers to cover the spread and take the under.
