I truly believe all football is good football. But, if I were someone who didn’t think this way, I would be relieved we get such a wonderful primetime matchup after what negative-minded people would say is a “lackluster” Sunday slate. But even there it felt gross to type that.
Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are the two most exciting quarterbacks to watch in the NFL. They’ve faced off four times in their careers and have gone 2-2 in those games. But, Allen and the Bills had the edge when it mattered most in their only playoff contest.
Buffalo Bills @ Baltimore Ravens (-2.5), O/U 46.5
The Bills find themselves as underdogs on the road in Baltimore despite many ranking them as the best team in the NFL at this moment. It’s not a fishy line, or mispriced by any means. The Bills let up a ton of rushing yards in every game they play with an injured defense, and they’re susceptible to rushing quarterbacks.
But the Ravens have had a habit of letting teams back into games. And if you let Josh Allen get hot he’ll make you pay for it. I think the Bills win this one outright, but there are a few different ways to play this based on how you think the game will go.
If you think the Ravens will get out to a lead, wait until the Bills are down a couple of scores and take them live. If you think it’ll be a wire-to-wire win by the Bills because of their newly upgraded run game, just take them now.
If you’re not as bullish on Buffalo as I am, pair them with the Chiefs, Jets, and/or Texans in a teaser. Josh Allen and the Bills have not lost by more than six points in 43 straight games (knock on wood).
And if you agree with any of my picks, lock them in with the widgets below!
Pick: Buffalo Moneyline
But I Don’t Want To Bet on the Buffalo Bills!
First of all, you’re an idiot. Second, fine I’ll dig something up for you. As I said, the Bills allow buckets of rushing yards with the current makeup of their defense. And last week against the Cowboys, the Ravens showed why they went out and got Derrick Henry.
In a must-win game, they gave Henry the ball 26 times where he racked up 151 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and a 23-yard catch. They’ll go back to him early and often in this one unless the game gets out of hand and they have to throw.
Pick: Derrick Henry Over 68.5 Rushing Yards
