Sunday Night Football features two NFC playoff contenders squaring off in a high-stakes game for positioning and possibly the overall playoff hopes for Seattle. It also features two of the most obscure mascots in the league. A Seahawk is actually a made-up bird. The closest thing to a Seahawk would be an osprey, but no one recognizes them by that name in any other context aside from this football team. The Green Bay Packers were named after their original owner, who worked in a meat packing facility and convinced his boss to sponsor their team. So, who do you feel like backing? A fake bird or a meat packer?

Green Bay Packers (-2.5) @ Seattle Seahawks, O/U 46.5
You have to be in the league’s upper echelon to win a game over the Packers. They don’t drop games to bad teams, which is how they’re favored on the road in Seattle. So this becomes a conversation about what you think this Seahawks team is. I believe they are a force in the NFC West down the stretch. I wouldn’t take them to win a playoff game just yet, but I think they have the talent and the defense to make it to the postseason. They need to stave off a white-hot Rams team coming up behind them, and winning this game would go a long way to help that cause.
But I can’t pick the Seahawks to win outright. Jordan Love and the Packers are too well-coached and disciplined to randomly lose a game they shouldn’t. If I can get a three, I’ll take Seattle. This number has been bouncing back and forth between 2.5 and 3 all week, and I think the casual bettor will come in and hit Green Bay a few more times before kickoff. Take the points in this one.
Pick: Seattle +3
A Fully Packed Offense
Jordan Love has been spreading the ball around to his receivers instead of focusing on one target. He regularly cycles through Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and all the other pass catchers on the field without hyper-targeting anyone. So, to handicap which receiver will be getting the ball, you have to see how the opposing defense has been playing against respective positions. The way you beat Seattle is by gashing them over the middle with the tightend. Tucker Kraft has been a reliable target for Jordan Love all season, so I expect him to get some yardage today.
Pick Tucker Kraft Over 32.5 Receiving Yards
