Super Bowl 59 Futures Trash or Treasure: The Raven Rises

We are headed into Week 8. Teams are trending up, teams are trending down. Here are the latest 2025 Super Bowl futures and why you should consider some teams are flush the others. But it’s your money, do what you will with it.

Odds are from Caesars.

Kansas City Chiefs +440, Treasure — No Rice, no Pacheco, no problem. You could give Patrick Mahomes an Arena Football League roster and he’d probably still win. Mahomes and Andy Reid once again proved complete ownage of the 49ers last Sunday and are now 5-0 against SF in the Kyle Shanahan era.

Baltimore Ravens +585, Treasure — 2-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has been insane during the team’s 5-game winning streak. He just threw five TD passes, completed 77 percent of his passes and ran for 52 yards against the Bucs. For the season, he’s got 15 TD passes against 2 INTs and has a ridiculous 118 rating.

Detroit Lions +755, Treasure — Jared Goff’s QB rating for his past three games are 140, 154 and 156. He’s completed 74 percent of his passes and has led the Lions to 120 points over their past three games. Detroit is ranked 2nd behind Baltimore in offense. Is that our Super Bowl 59?

San Francisco 49ers +920, Trash — It’s hard to imagine SF winning the Super Bowl. They can’t beat the Chiefs, were blown out by the Ravens last Christmas and barely beat the Lions in the NFC Championship Game. But with 2023 OPOY Christian McCaffrey reportedly returning in Week 10, who knows?

Buffalo Bills +1095, Trash — Josh Allen is ranked fifth in QB rating with 12 TDs and 0 INTs, but the five teams they’ve beaten have a combined record of 10-23. The two teams they lost to were the 5-2 Ravens and 5-2 Texans, both leading their divisions. On Nov. 17, the Bills host the Chiefs. That will be their litmus test.

Houston Texans +1400, Trash — It’s a bit tough to trust the Texans. They’re top 10 in offense and defense, and C.J. Stroud is 11th in passer rating with 10 TDs to 4 INTs, but Houston lost to the Vikings and Packers while winning three other games by one score. We will revisit after they play the Lions on Sunday Night Football on Nov. 10.

Minnesota Vikings +1410, Trash — Head coach Kevin O’Connell has done a great job this season — he definitely is one of the top 3-5 coaches in the NFC. But how far can Sam Darnold take them? He has only thrown one TD pass in 10 quarters and was unable to outduel Jared Goff on Sunday. Still, he’s got a 104 rating and a 12-to-5 TD-INT ratio. He entered the season at 63 TDs-57 INTs, so if he goes back to baseline the Vikings are in trouble.

Green Bay Packers +1500, Treasure — The defense is only giving up 5.1 yards per play and Jordan Love has the highest TD percentage (8.4) in the league. It feels like the North will represent the NFC this year, and the Lions-Vikings and Packers-Vikings games were both decided by 2 points. Any of those teams can take the division.

Philadelphia Eagles +1575, Trash — Since beating the Packers in Week 1, Philly has lost to the Falcons and Bucs while beating the Giants, Browns and Saints. Does that sound like a future NFL champion?

Cincinnati Bengals +2690, Trash — Joe Burrow is having a great season, but Cincy has lost to every team with a winning record — Chiefs, Ravens, Commanders. We need to see more.
